The Gorj County Council announces the approval of the project “Sustainable Transport for the students of Gorj County”, with order number 1 of the approval, a project that will be financed by the Administration of the Environmental Fund, within the Program regarding the improvement of air quality and the reduction of the amount of gas emissions with greenhouse effect, by using less polluting vehicles such as electric, hybrid and compressed natural gas powered minibuses to transport students.
The total value of the project “Sustainable transport for students of Gorj county” is 15,000,000.00 lei (including VAT), representing non-refundable eligible expenses within the financing program.
Through this project, a number of 11 electric school minibuses will be purchased for a number of 11 administrative-territorial units within Gorj county, which will each benefit from an electric school minibus with 16+1 seats, of which 1 seat for people with disabilities.
The 11 territorial administrative units within Gorj County were selected considering the “criterion of the number of commuter students”, and the maximum eligible amount that will be contracted within the Program launched by the Environment Fund Administration is a maximum of 15,000,000 lei.
It should be noted that this project is not the only one through which the Gorj County Council contributes to the improvement of ecological transport conditions for students, by purchasing school minibuses, called “green”, with the project “Electric minibuses for students of Gorj County” also being implemented. , financed by PNRR, through which a number of 27 units will be purchased. electric school minibuses with 16+1 seats, in total, a number of 38 electric school minibuses will be distributed in Gorj County in the next period.
This initiative will have an overwhelming impact on our community and pave the way for a greener and more sustainable future.
