Duplicate health card, certificate is extended

In order to support the insured and save you from additional trips to the insurance company, starting from March 26, the procedure for obtaining a duplicate national health card was changed.

“Starting with the mentioned date, the replacement certificate of the health card, which until now was valid for 60 days, becomes valid until the date of issuance of the duplicate card, i.e. the date on which the duplicate card reached the holder either through postal services or health insurance company.

Certificates issued up to the date of entry into force of the changes retain their validity as provided by them.

In the case of insured persons who have a lost, damaged or stolen card, in order to obtain a duplicate card, they must submit the following documents to the insurance company:
– the request for the issuance of the duplicate card
– the identity document
= proof of payment of the duplicate card value of 13.69 lei
These documents can be submitted either at the headquarters of the Timiș County Health Insurance Company, or they can be submitted online in the IT platform displayed on the institution’s website, without the need to travel to the insurance company headquarters. They can also be sent via postal services, or to the e-mail address intended for this respective service,This email address is being protected from spambots.
