A 26-year-old young man from Urzica, Olte commune, was caught red-handed by the police and DIICOT Craiova prosecutors while allegedly selling 23 grams of cocaine, for 9,500 lei.
The investigators say that he, together with another person who is evading criminal prosecution, would have possessed and traded different quantities of cocaine, with amounts between 200 and 2,500 lei.
Subsequently, three house searches were carried out in Dolj county, where 150 grams of cocaine, a high-precision scale, various objects bearing traces of the substance, as well as other evidence were discovered.
The young man was detained for 24 hours.
“The young man was taken to hearings, and, based on the evidence provided, the DIICOT – ST Craiova prosecutor ordered the detention of the 26-year-old man, for 24 hours, under the aspect of committing high-risk drug trafficking crimes, in continuous form and possession of high-risk drugs, without a right, for own consumption.
During this day, the judge of rights and liberties, within the Dolj Court, was notified, with the proposal of preventive arrest of the detained man, for 30 days.
Specialized support was provided by the Special Operations Directorate of the Romanian Police.
