Five athletes of the ACS Karate Club Gemina DBP Alba Iulia won 11 medals at the Scorpion Karate Cup, held on March 23 in the city of Balș, Olt county. These are five gold medals, three silver medals and three bronze medals.
After an emotional wait and intense preparation, with selflessness, perseverance, diligence and a great desire to compete, karatekas from ACS Karate Club Gemina DBP from Alba Iulia made another trip to Oltenia where they participated in the 12th -th edition of the Karate Scorpion Cup, held on Saturday, March 23, in the Sports Hall of the Petre Pandrea Theoretical High School, Balș city, Olt county,
The competition organized with the support of the Balș City Hall by ACS Karate-Do Slatina, in Balș having a branch of the club, was structured on 4 tests, individual kata, individual kumite shobu ippon, individual kumite shobu sanbon and team kata, by age and grade categories .
The spirit of martial arts, respect and fair play were present on the tatami where 180 karatekas from 14 clubs in Romania, from very young ages to seniors, demonstrated agility, speed, strength, concentration, resistance and team spirit , being fervently supported by coaches, parents and their relatives.
The delegation of ACS Karate Club Gemina DBP, Alba Iulia was formed by sensei Dorin Mureșan, 4 dan, instructor and referee in the competition, sensei Ioan Pantea, referee and 5 karateka: Anamaria Suciu, Aura Muntean, Mihai Muntean, Patrik Pantea and Claudia Cornici .
The five athletes, trained in Alba Iulia by shihan Dumitru Danciu, 8th dan, sensei Cosmin Bolca, 5th dan, sensei Dorin Mureșan, 4th dan and sensei Laurentiu Bolca, 4th dan, had overall very good evolutions, winning a total of 11 medals, of which 5 gold medals, 3 silver medals and 3 bronze medals as follows:
