The Sibiu County Emergency Clinical Hospital offers “sincere apologies” to the patients who queued in front of the Specialty Outpatient Clinic on Hermann Oberth Street to make an appointment. Through a press release, hospital representatives recommend online scheduling.

“Sibiu County Emergency Clinic Hospital sincerely apologizes to the patients who stood in line in front of the Specialty Outpatient Clinic on Hermann Oberth Street. In order to avoid such situations, the hospital recommends that patients who wish to make an appointment also use the alternative options available in this regard, respectively on the scjus.ro website, in the section Patient information – Online appointments (https://scjus .ro/programari-online/) or phone numbers 0269/504120 and 0269/504121. We reiterate the fact that these options are accessible at any time,” the quoted source said.

The situation of the growing number of people who want to make an appointment at the same time or who have to appear several times at the Specialty Outpatient Clinic to make an appointment, also arises from the fact that the funds received from the National Health Insurance House are insufficient to satisfy all requests when they arise, the hospital explains.

Also, from the discussions that the staff of the Outpatient Clinic has with the patients, it was found that the online appointment system, although available, is not preferred by a large number of patients, especially the elderly or patients from rural areas, who they don’t have access to internet services or can’t handle this system. There are also situations in which patients present themselves at the Specialty Outpatient Clinic after making the appointment online or by phone, in order to ensure that the appointment has been made, all these aspects cumulatively resulting in queues.

“Once again, we apologize for the disturbing situation in which dozens of patients found themselves during this period and encourage those who wish to use alternative methods of making appointments. The Sibiu County Emergency Clinical Hospital is constantly looking for solutions to improve the services offered and communication with patients,” state the representatives of the medical institution.
