Also, queues often form at the counters of the medical unit for appointments. On Tuesday, the hospital asked patients to also use the online appointment option and specifies that it cannot take over all requests, due to insufficient funds, reports News.ro.
Dozens of Sibiu residents have complained, in recent months, about the impossibility of scheduling consultations at the Sibiu County Hospital Outpatient Clinic.
Also, many times, queues form at the counters of the medical unit for appointments, and people are dissatisfied,
“The Sibiu County Emergency Clinical Hospital sincerely apologizes to the patients who stood in line in front of the Specialty Clinic on Hermann Oberth Street. In order to avoid such situations, the hospital recommends that patients who wish to make an appointment also use the alternative options available in this regard, respectively on the scjus.ro website, in the section Patient information – Online appointments (https://scjus .ro/programari-online/) or phone numbers 0269/504120 and 0269/504121. We reiterate the fact that these options are accessible at any time”, the representatives of the Sibiu County Hospital said on Tuesday.
According to them, the situation is also generated by the lack of funds.
“The situation we are facing, of the growing number of people who want to make an appointment at the same time or who are forced to appear several times at the Specialty Outpatient Clinic to make an appointment, also arises, unfortunately, from the fact that the funds received from the National Health Insurance House are insufficient to satisfy all requests when they appear”, the medical unit also transmitted.
In addition, many of those who want to program are elderly or from rural areas.
“It was found that the online appointment system, although available, is not preferred by a large number of patients, especially the elderly or patients from rural areas, who do not have access to internet services or do not manage with this system. We also encounter the situation where patients present themselves at the Specialty Clinic after making the appointment online or by phone, in order to ensure that the appointment has been made, all these cumulative aspects resulting in queues like the one reported the other day”, they further transmitted to the hospital officials.
