Bird Day, celebrated in Alba Iulia. Enthusiasts, invited to the meeting in the Mamut bike path area.

Bird Day is an opportunity to reconnect with nature and observe the birds around us and the ecosystems in which they live alongside us.

The Romanian Ornithological Society (SOR) invites you to go out into nature with family and friends and observe birds in or near cities.

You can take binoculars and a bird identification guide with you and enjoy the sound and sight of the birds.

“In a world where climate change and habitat degradation threaten bird populations globally, it is more important than ever that we get involved in conserving and protecting these amazing species.

Bird Day gives us the opportunity to reflect on our impact on the environment and take action to protect birds and the fragile ecosystems in which they live.

It is necessary to become aware that even we humans will not be able to live in a world where nature is degraded.

In addition, bird watching can have significant benefits on our mental and physical health.

According to recent studies, spending time in nature, especially in the presence of birds, can reduce stress, improve mood and increase overall well-being,” said SOR Executive Director Dan Hulea.
