The second edition of the employers’ fair, an event organized by Grupul Observatorul Prahovean, in partnership with AJOFM Prahova, opened its doors at the end of last week. 20 top companies from Prahova presented a rich offer of jobs, over 400. Held in partnership with the Prahova County Employment Agency, the Employers’ Exchange also represented an opportunity for those looking for a job of work, but also for employers.
For two days, between March 22 and 23, at the Palace of Culture in Ploiești, the Employers’ Exchange took place, an event in its second edition.
During the event, those looking for a job had the opportunity to directly address some top companies and institutions in Prahova.
The event proved to be a real success considering the large number of participants considering the wide range of jobs.

The list of companies and public institutions that had presentation stands at the Employers’ Exchange includes Supermarket la Cocoș, Coca-Cola HBC, Habau, Bergenbier, Carmistin, Elis Pavaje, Coni, Cameron, Mediurg, Pecef, Resoner Auto Truck, Ness Proiect Europe , Manpower, Credyram, British American Tobacco, Titan Academy, NN Romania, Dekomte, Prahova County Police Inspectorate, Prahova Gendarmerie Mobile Group.
The 2nd edition of the Job Fair – Employer Exchange 2024 proved to be a real success, both for those looking for a job, but also for the top employers in Prahova. Since the first hours, hundreds of people looking for a job visited the presentation stands of the big companies in Prahova.
According to the estimates of AJOFM Prahova specialists, on the first day there were over 1000 participants looking for a job, and on the second over 800.
The first scholarship of 2024 organized in Prahova
Cristina Stoichici, director of AJOFM Prahova: “We are partners in this event organized by the Prahovean Observatory Group. It’s the 2nd edition, because the first edition was successful and it’s getting more and more interesting.
As you have noticed, there are very large employers in the county who have come with their job offers. It’s true that it’s the first scholarship this year because, isn’t it, not much hiring is done until March.
We have managed to employ more than 1000 people through our mediation services, but as you can see, in the stock market, it is a completely different experience than just such a mediation for each person with whatever employer they want.
At the stock exchange, everyone has the opportunity to see the offer of several companies and, considering that they are large, top companies from the county, they also present themselves very well.
Some of them wanted to analyze what is the quality of the labor force and we will see this again tomorrow because, from the experience of the previous edition, we saw that on Saturday people come looking for another job, and the level of qualifications increases. The interest is high as it is also the first scholarship in the county this year.
Now we’re going to test the market, see what offers there are and, of course, see the people from which categories, what jobs and what they want to work on.”

Dana Dragoș, recruitment specialist at Bergenbier: “It’s a first for us. We did not participate in the last edition and we were very happy when we had the opportunity and we also mobilized very quickly for this event.
It’s important for us to get in touch with people because we want to attract them, basically, to work for our company”
Doina Purchel, deputy general director of PECEF Tehnica: “What do we think? Very good because I participated last year and I came now. It seems to be a success. It’s very crowded. Good, you also publicized this event.
It’s very okay. We met willing people here. As you can see we have made a whole list of jobs for us to find here, to fill them here with the people here who come and look for jobs.
It is gratifying that there are many young people looking for jobs. That’s a very, very good thing in my opinion. We hope this participation will be a success for us as well.”

Many people participate in this event and we want to congratulate you. There are many people who are interested in the event and are looking for a job”.
Claudia Ilie, Resoner assistant manager: “It’s a good opportunity, both for the young and for the less young who want to change something or do something new. It’s an ok thing and very well done”.
Mihai-Daniel Mantoiu, Ploiești Agency manager within NN Romania – Insurance: “It is an event that I participated in last year as well. I see interest from people. Everywhere I know there is a shortage of staff.
The same with us at NN. We are constantly searching. We are looking for people, so to speak, persistent, who want to earn an extra penny or make a job or a career out of the consulting job. Young people of all ages are welcome.”
George Cristea, CONI administrator: “It was timely to organize this event, and for us who are the first time, it is interesting and it is a good thing for us, CONI, we have found what we need.”

We expect candidates to come in as many numbers as possible. This time we have more jobs available and with the new projects we won recently we expect things to go very well”, he stated
Sorina Chivu – SLB: “It is a useful event, but we have been present and visible every year here. It is an opportunity for those who are looking for a job to get to know us, to understand what we do and what we can offer them”,
Cristian Paje, development specialist coordinator at Coca-Cola HBC: “Agglomeration is always because we are a very large employer. Coca-Cola Ploiești represents Hellenic, and Coca-Cola Hellenic represents 29 countries, and the factory in Ploiești is one of the largest factories in Hellenic and the opportunities are diverse. Probably, from here, the interest of the citizens of Ploiesti.
Of course we are at their disposal and we also come with offers at the moment. The event takes place over two days. It is quite interesting for us as an employer as well as for the people. Why? Because we live in an age where it is increasingly difficult to find skilled labor.
It’s good for people to be open and always looking for something new because, as I said before, we live in an age where you just need a little courage to apply for a position, and goodwill and the seven years of home and then everything proceeds more and more normally”.
Loredana Stocheci, assistant manager Elis Pavaje: “I didn’t expect it to be populated from the first hour of the morning. We are very excited to be participating this year. It’s the first time we come, but we have a positive experience”.
Laura Antimiu, chief inspector IPJ Prahova: “I think it’s a particularly beneficial event because we can present the beautiful parts of police work.
We also want to show people the work behind policing, the positives and the tougher things that we do.
We want to guide them towards a career as a police officer, be it through the “Vasile Lascăr” School of Police Agents or through the Police Academy, but also through the recruitments from external sources that we have had over time” .
Because the second edition was also a real success, confirmed by the representatives of the participating companies, the Prahovean Observatory Group decided to continue this project dedicated to the labor market, preparing a third edition of the job fair – the Employer Exchange, which will take place in fall of this year.
