--

The President of Bihor County Council, Ilie Bolojan, announced that the technical projects of the two passages that will be built on Calea Aradului, under the belt at the exit from the city and over DN 79 between ERA Park Oradea and Oradea Shopping City are nearing completion.

Moreover, next month will start the tender to establish the builders for both passages.

With funding from EU funds

“Next month we are auctioning the passages from Calea Aradului”, Bolojan wrote on his Facebook account, explaining that last week the contracts for the road safety audit were signed and that “the completion of the technical projects that will be built from the fall of this year is approaching final”.

“In April, after the final approval by CNAIR, we will start the tender procedure for selecting the builders”, announced Bolojan, stating that the project is the result of a partnership between CNAIR, Oradea City Hall and Bihor County Council, as well as that “financing is provided from European funds”.

Also, Chief CJ Bihor attached a film showing how traffic will be on the first of the two passages, the one at the exit from Calea Aradului under the current roundabout in the Oradea belt.

Approved last summer

The construction of the two passages, as well as two others, at the exit from the city on DN 19 towards Biharia and from Oșorhei on DN 1, was unanimously approved by the elected officials of Bihor in July of last year, at the proposal of the president CJ Bihor.

The passage under the belt from Calea Aradului will have, according to the adopted decision, a total length of the facilities of 406 meters, of which the passage itself will be 252 meters, and the cost estimated by the feasibility study is 46.492 million lei.

Practically, the crossing will be carried out on the current second lane of the section from the exit from Calea Aradului towards the ring road and, respectively, from the entrance to the city from the Airport, with the first lane remaining as it is, to allow the right turn towards Calea Sântandreiului and to the left towards Ogorului street.

a the second passage would be built over DN 79 before the Airport, to connect the commercial areas ERA Park and Oradea Shopping City, so that the traffic from Oradea to Nojorid and vice versa flows without stops and traffic jams in the current roundabout. According to the SF, it is planned to have total facilities in length of 535 meters, of which that of the actual passage should be 121 meters. It will also be doubled by a pedestrian passage with a length of 201 meters. The total cost is estimated at 44.93 million lei, of which the value of construction and installation works is 37.145 million lei.

In Biharia and Osorhei

A third passage road proposed by the President CJ Bihor will also be above ground, being provided over DN 19 at the exit/entrance from Oradea to/from Biharia, above the roundabout on the right of Remarkt (formerly Real II), where the national road intersects with Calea Bihorului. It would have a total length of the facilities of 571 meters, of which that of the passage itself would be 141 meters. The project was estimated by the feasibility study at a total cost of 38.611 million lei, of which 31.537 million lei are construction and installation works.

Finally, the fourth passage of this “package” was proposed on DN1 at the exit/entrance to/from Oșorhei, in the area where the national road intersects with the commune belt, under construction, and with the future northern metropolitan road ring, which will lead to Biharia via run away This passage would have a total length of the facilities of 559 meters, of which the passage itself is 121 meters. The estimated cost by SF is 37.804 million lei, of which the construction and assembly works amount to 30.949 million lei.
