A young woman from Bucharest was detained, on Friday, after repeatedly attacking the police. She already had a conviction for assaulting other police officers in the past.

The Bucharest woman hit a policeman at the scene of an incident, where she also caused a scandal, after which she attacked a policewoman in the police station.

“On 22.03.2024, the prosecutor from the Prosecutor’s Office next to the Bucharest District Court 5 ordered the initiation of criminal proceedings against a 25-year-old defendant for committing two insult crimes, prev. of art. 257 para. (1) and (4) C. pen. rap. to art. 193 para. (1) Penal Code, with app. Art. 38 para. 1 C. pen. in a state of post-conviction relapse.

In fact, it was noted that on 21.03.2024, workers from the Sector 5 Police, Police Section 18 intervened to resolve a conflict that was taking place at a building on Mihail Sebastian Street in Bucharest.

The person who caused the scandal was identified at the scene, namely the defendant BIF, who slapped a police officer in the right shoulder area.

After driving to the headquarters of the police station, during the body control, the defendant kicked another female police officer in the area of ​​the wrist of the right hand and the left knee.

Previously, the defendant was also sentenced to prison with the suspension of the execution of the sentence under supervision, also for committing a crime of insult.

In the case, the prosecutor ordered the measure of detention for a duration of 24 hours, following which the defendant will be presented to the judge of rights and liberties of the Bucharest District 5 Court with a proposal for preventive arrest”, announced the Prosecutor’s Office.
