From the investigations, the police say, it emerged that, during 2023, three people (members of the same family), one of whom was serving a custodial sentence, would have constituted an organized criminal group with the aim of committing the crime of drug trafficking high-risk and high-risk drugs and would have carried out, between June 2023 and February 2024, coordination, collaboration and support activities within the group, as well as the possession, transport and sale of high-risk (cannabis) and high-risk drugs ( cocaine), in Ialomita County.
The 87-year-old woman, on the instructions and under the coordination of her grandchildren, allegedly sold quantities of cannabis and cocaine, worth 1,700 lei, for each transaction.
On February 29, the police officers of the Ialomița Organized Crime Service, together with DIICOT prosecutors, the Ialomița Territorial Office, searched the home of the old woman in Misleanu commune, Ialomița, where they discovered 22 transparent plastic bags containing approximately 2.4 kilograms of cannabis, 44,950 lei, documents with probative value, as well as other evidence, all of which were seized by the investigators.
The prosecutors ordered the measure of judicial control against the old woman for 60 days, considering her advanced age (87 years) and health condition.
