Smiley and Damian Drăghici did not hesitate to reply to the soloist from the band AXXA, in a video posted on Instagram, in which they explain when and on what occasion the idea of ​​such a piece came to them.

“Where did the title come from?! Well, from tradition, it’s clear! About 8 years ago I had the idea to make this play, I was somewhere on a boat in Thailand, in the middle of the ocean, and I thought how cool it would be to make a play <>. I told Damian that we had to make a play, but it took about 5-6 years,” Smiley began to explain.

Damian Drăghici also complemented his colleague, coming with additional clarifications.

“I was at a concert, where I invited Andrei to sing, at Sadghuru. Sadghuru was talking about how to save the song and Smiley was saying let’s do a song with <>“, said Draghici.

Dinu Maxer wanted to specify that he does not accuse the two artists of having copied his song, but he believes that, simply, they were in a hurry to release a song with the same name as the one composed by him 5 years ago.

“What bothers me is that, last year, I did a remake of the male part of my song, which I promoted on TV and sang, and I think it’s a little too soon to come up with same title, same kind of song, which is a niche song, clearly!

I want it to be clearly understood: it’s about the title here and the area we’re going to. The song <> is a niche song!
