A faulty dishwasher led to the interruption of an orchestra concert at the Elbphilharmonie concert hall in Hamburg on Sunday, reports DPA, taken over by Agerpres.

Faulty apparatus on the 13th floor of the concert hall triggered the fire alarm, forcing the evacuation of the building in the middle of an ongoing performance by the renowned Hamburg Philharmonic State Orchestra, according to a fire service spokesman.
The musicians, the audience and conductor Kent Nagano had to leave the building. The outage lasted about an hour.
The show was later resumed, according to a spokesman for the concert hall.
The concert program included a piece by the contemporary Russian composer Vladimir Tarnopolski, “Im Dunkel vor der Dämmerung”. The piece was commissioned by the Elbphilharmonie itself and had its world premiere right at the concert interrupted by the mundane dishwasher.
In the second part of the concert, Ludwig van Beethoven’s Third Symphony “Eroica” was performed.
