Standing in front of the 1,000-year-old St. Sophia Cathedral in Kiev, a spiritual and architectural monument of the country’s faith, Zelensky said that Ukraine has been fighting Russia for 802 days for a victory.
“The Bible teaches us to love our neighbor. And the present revealed the true meaning of this word. We all became neighbors to each other. And our former neighbor, who made us think he was a brother, was always distant from us. He broke all the commandments, he coveted our house and came to kill us. The whole world sees it. God knows. Orthodox Christians, including the Ukrainian and Russian Orthodox Churches, celebrate Easter this weekend, while most Western churches celebrated the holiday on March 31.
