De Niro attacks Trump again: “He’s a monster. I don’t think Americans understand how dangerous it will be if he becomes president again”

Notorious opponent of Donald Trump, the actor Robert De Niro attacked the former American president again. In an interview for MSNBC, the actor said that Trump is “sick” and “a monster”, reports News.ro.

“He’s sick. I’m tired of calling him. He simply should not approach the position of president. This man is a monster,” said De Niro.

“I don’t think Americans understand how dangerous it will be if he ever, God forbid, becomes president again. He looks like a clown. He acts like a clown. And, in one way or another, people identify with him”, continued the comedian.

Robert De Niro is a vehement critic of Donald Trump. In 2023, the actor compared the former president to his role in “Killers of the Flower Moon,” an oil-hungry businessman who plots to kill Native Americans to steal their revenue.

“It is the banality of evil, the thing we must pay attention to. We see it today… It’s like with Trump. There are people who think he can still do a good job. Imagine how crazy it is. This man is stupid,” he said at a press conference at the Cannes Film Festival.

In this new interview, Robert De Niro said again that he would never play Donald Trump on screen.

“There is not one single positive thing about him that I can see, ever, ever,” he justified.

The American actor thus declared his support for the current president of the United States, Joe Biden, whom he believes is the “right person” to support him in the presidential campaign.

“He’s trying to do the right thing. (…) We have no choice”, he concluded.
