Several dozens of students gathered on Monday in the middle of the day in front of the Sorbonne and inside the building, where they set up tents, 12 according to the rectorate, between 20 and 30 according to a protester. A Palestinian flag was spread on the floor.

“The amphitheatres were evacuated around noon,” announced the rectorate, which decided to close the university on Monday afternoon.

About 150 people were gathered in front of the institution, in the presence of three MPs from the radical left party Insubordinate France (LFI).
