  • A man caught driving drunk escaped punishment by the police.
  • The man suffered from “self-brewery” – intestinal fermentation syndrome.
  • A man’s body naturally produces alcohol in large quantities.
  • People with this condition do not feel the effects of being “drunk”.
  • The man was employed at a brewery in Bruges.

His caps popped and his foam swelled up inside him… with nerves – when the police stopped him and made him blow into the vial!

It’s about a Belgian who works at a brewery in Bruges.

The man was charged with drunk driving after the breathalyzer test showed a concentration of alcohol well above the limit. He got off the hook after proving he didn’t put his mouth on the glass.

The man suffered from “auto-brewery” or in Romanian – intestinal fermentation syndrome – a rare and controversial disease. The body produces the same type of alcohol as that found in alcoholic beverages, but in general, people do not feel the effects of being “drunk” as strongly.

To be sure that this is also the case of the man, they checked him not one – but 3 doctors, each according to his method. The man was really good on his feet!
