UPDATE at 17.04: At least 29 people died and one was seriously injured in the fire that broke out in the nightclub in Istanbul, according to the latest report sent by the authorities, reports CNN Turk.
32 ambulances were sent to the scene, announced the Minister of Health, Fahrettin Koca, in a message on the X network.

An explosion is alleged to have occurred near the stage of the Masquerade club, closed for Ramadan, while it was being renovated.
After the explosion, the club was engulfed in flames, and as the fire spread, the club and building were filled with smoke. Those inside at the time were trapped.
