Good news for drivers: gasoline and diesel became cheaper on Thursday, May 9, for the second day in a row. However, petrol is still more expensive than diesel.
Thus, on Thursday, May 9, the cheapest standard gasoline costs 7.24 lei per liter, compared to 7.28 lei per liter on Wednesday, and can be found at several Petrom and Lukoil stations in Bucharest. At the rest of the stations in Bucharest, standard gasoline can be found at prices between 7.25 and 7.46 lei, and these are decreasing, Antena 3 CNN reports. In the case of premium gasoline, prices vary from 7.77 lei to 8.10 lei, a slight decrease compared to the previous day.
The price of diesel
All this time, the minimum price for standard diesel is still lower than that for gasoline. Diesel fuel arrived in the capital at 7.23 lei, compared to 7.27 lei per liter on Wednesday, and is available at a Petrom station. The maximum price of diesel reaches 7.42 lei per liter in Bucharest, in stagnation.
In the case of premium diesel, the price is between 7.61 lei per liter and 7.92 lei, also decreasing.
We remind you that last year, the price of a liter of standard gasoline exceeded 8 lei, while standard diesel exceeded 9 lei per liter.
