It is normal that gasoline has become cheaper, because the price of oil also decreased this morning. Abnormal is the evolution of black gold which, against the background of tensions in the Middle East, where the Israeli army seems ready for new military actions, should have increased.
But, as one analyst said, nowadays everything is so uncertain that estimates, forecasts of experts almost don’t matter anymore. Why is oil cheaper now? Because US strategic crude oil stocks are forecast to fall by about 1.1 million barrels this week.
Here are the prices offered today, May 8, by gas stations in Bucharest, according to peco-online.
STANDARD PETROL
The lowest price: 7.28 lei/liter, down from 7.32 lei/liter, yesterday’s value (Petrom, str. Dr. Herescu Petre no. 2A)
The highest price: 7.50 lei/liter, unchanged (Rompetrol, 46-48 Gheorghe Ionescu Sisești road)
SUPERIOR PETROL
The lowest price: 7.79 lei/liter, lower than yesterday’s value of 7.83 lei/liter (the same Petrom gas station on Dr. Herescu Petre str. no. 2A)
The highest price: 8.14 lei/liter, the same as yesterday (two Rompetrol stations, the one on Viilor road 67 and the one on Gheorghe Ionescu Sisești road 46-48).
STANDARD DIESEL
The lowest price: 7.27 lei/litre, unchanged (Socar, str. Vasile Lascăr, no. 141A)
The highest price: 7.40 lei/liter, down by two pennies/liter (Rompetrol, Șos. Fundeni, no. 21-25 and four OMV gas stations, including the one on Alexandru Șerbănescu str.)
SUPERIOR ENGINE
The lowest price: 7.65 lei/liter, unchanged (Petrom, str. Dr. Herescu Petre no. 2A)
The highest price: 7.92 lei/liter, the same as yesterday (several Rompetrol gas stations, including the one on Pipera-Tunari Road)
