A child ended up in a serious condition in the hospital after being the victim of an ATV accident caused by another child. The victim is now hospitalized and the perpetrator investigated for four crimes.
The unconsciousness and terribleness of some kids from Botoșani county were on the verge of causing a tragedy. Now, a 15-year-old child has arrived injured in the hospital, and a friend of his, of the same age, is being investigated by the police.
The accident took place on the bank of a pond in Suharău commune, Botoșani county. Two minors, both 15 years old, decided to go for a ride on an ATV, although neither of them knew how to control the four-wheeled vehicle. This explains the fact that, after a few minutes, the one in the back seat lost his balance and was thrown from the saddle, after an imprudent maneuver by the driver. The young man fell as hard as he could, suffering several traumas and contusions.
Scared, the two decided not to tell anyone and broke up right at the scene of the accident. Although with terrible pain in the abdominal area, the injured young man started walking home. He met some neighbors by car, and they realized that the minor had suffered something. After he told them what had happened, and especially because of the alleged pain, they called 112, asking for the help of medical personnel.
“The request was made for a child, 15 years old, male, victim of an ATV accident. He was picked up from a personal car by the crew and assistant of the Dorohoi Ambulance. He was stabilized and transported directly to the Botoşani Pediatric Hospital, for investigations and specialized treatment”stated the primary doctor Andreea Stărică, spokesperson of SJA Botoșani.

Later, the doctors decided to admit him to the surgery ward, with a contusion wound in the lumbar region.
The medical staff also notified the police about the incident, and now the law enforcement officers have launched an investigation to determine how the misfortune happened. After the first investigations, a criminal case was opened for no less than four crimes. “In the case, investigations are being continued under the aspect of committing the crimes of putting an unregistered vehicle into circulation, driving without a license, leaving the scene of the accident and causing bodily injury due to negligence”stated deputy chief agent Delia Nenișcu, IPJ Botoșani spokesperson.
