On the 7th of May, around 21:00, policemen from the Road Safety Service were alerted to the fact that a road accident occurred on DJ 226, between the communes of Corbu and Săcele.
The police officers dispatched to the scene found that a car, driven by a 53-year-old man, allegedly injured a 59-year-old cyclist.
As a result of the road accident, the cyclist died.
The driver was tested with the breathalyzer and the one provided, in order to establish the indications regarding the possible presence of psychoactive substances, the results being negative.
In the case, a criminal investigation file was drawn up for the crime of manslaughter.
