Two barbers have become heroes in the United States after they saved a 3-year-old girl who was running towards a busy intersection in East Hartford, Connecticut.
The child had been released from her mother’s custody.

The barbers were cutting two customers’ hair at the time, but one of them looked out the window and saw the scene. They left their customers in the seat and ran towards the little girl who had reached a few meters from the intersection, writes nbcconnecticut.com.
The child is taken in his arms at the last moment by one of the barbers. The two heroes then helped the girl find her mother, who was at a bus stop with her eyes on her mobile phone. The woman had not even noticed that her daughter was no longer with her.
East Hartford police hailed the pair’s heroic act in a Facebook post.
“Today we note the quick reaction of Osvaldo Lugo and Rafael Santana of LookSharp Barbershop. Their action saved a young child who left his mother’s side and ran towards Main Street. Thanks to them, a potential tragedy was averted and a family remains whole. We are incredibly grateful for these true heroes!”
