Endless tragedy even on the night of Resurrection! Ștefan Velea, a young Romanian aged 20, died in a terrible car accident. The car struck the railing of a bridge and plunged about ten meters into a precipice. The disaster occurred in Italy, where the boy lived.
In the night from Saturday to Sunday, Ștefan passed away in a disturbing way. The young man had spent the Easter evening with some friends and was returning home, he being a resident of the city of Ascoli in the Italian region of Marche. Unfortunately, it never reached its destination. While traveling on the provincial road in Lisciano, on the border between Marche and Abruzzo, the tragic accident occurred.

The car in which Ștefan was, an Opel Corsa, hit the railing of a bridge and fell about ten meters into a precipice. At the moment, it is not known why the 20-year-old lost control of the car.

The vehicle disappeared from the road, so no one noticed the accident. It wasn’t until Sunday morning, May 5, that the boy’s parents started to get alarmed. When they saw that Stefan had not arrived home, several members of his family started looking for him.
Around 10 o’clock, the young man’s uncle noticed the destroyed railing of the bridge, and when he looked closer he discovered the car in the abyss. The family notified the authorities and rescue operations began, coordinated by the fire department.
The mission of the rescue crews was not at all easy because the car ended up in the riverbed, just a few meters from the town of Gabbiano. Only in the afternoon of Easter, the firemen managed to extract the body from the wreckage.
Unfortunately, despite the rescuers’ efforts, nothing could be done for the young Romanian. Stefan had no chance of survival. The car rolled dozens of meters, the roof being completely destroyed.
