An extremely serious road event took place this afternoon, on Faleza Superior. A car and a motorcycle collided violently in the Viva Park area, two people, the motorcyclist and a woman, were seriously injured.
According to the first information, “policemen from the Galaţi Road Bureau established that a car, driven by a young man, aged 25, from the municipality of Galați, while traveling on the mentioned street in the 1st traffic lane, with the direction of moving from Portului street to Cloșca boulevard, after passing Viva Park and arriving in front of a church, he would have performed the turning maneuver, at which point he would have collided with a motorcycle traveling in the same direction on lane 2 and which was driven by a 41-year-old man from the municipality of Galati”.
The motorcyclist was transported in critical condition to the Emergency Hospital, where he was subjected to resuscitation maneuvers, but unfortunately the doctors could not save him and declared him dead. The woman who was with him was also taken by the medical crews, but her condition is somewhat better.
The police have opened an investigation and are doing research to establish exactly the circumstances in which the event occurred.
