IPJ Sibiu informs that a particularly serious accident occurred on the morning of Easter, on DN 14, at the railway level crossing between Ruși and Șeica Mare.
From the first investigations carried out by the traffic police, it emerged that, while driving a van from Mediaș towards Sibiu, a 38-year-old man from Alba County, alone in the vehicle, would not have respected the warning (red color) of the traffic light from the crossing, he entered the railway and was hit by a passenger train traveling from Sibiu to Mediaș. The vehicle was thrown off the roadway. Unfortunately, the driver died as a result of the impact.
The passengers on the train and the train driver, a 64-year-old man from Cluj County, were not injured.
