The National Research and Development Institute for Earth Physics (INCDFP) announces that an earthquake measuring 4.1 degrees on the Richter scale occurred in Romania.

The earthquake occurred on Tuesday afternoon, at 18:32, in Buzau county. Seismologists also say that it took place at a depth of 140 kilometers. According to the National Research and Development Institute for Earth Physics (INCDFP), the earthquake occurred near these cities:

  • 44 km west of Focsani
  • 51 km north of Buzau
  • 72 km southeast of Sfântu-Gheorghe
  • 80 km east of Brasov
  • and 86 km northeast of Ploiesti
