Every year, on May 5, the International Day of the Midwife is celebrated, a very special occasion to recognize and appreciate the role of these professionals in the health system. This year, their Professional Day coincided with one of the most important Christian holidays, Easter.
On a day like this, we can only express our sincere recognition and deep respect for their responsible and devoted work. We think that, moaANDthey have the most beautifulUm profession in the world, beingthat are the first to vUmd the child ANDand the first to take him in their armsÞe.
Mariana Ursachi, midwife, “A. Prisăcari” District Hospital Soroca: “I work as a midwife in the Soroca Perinatal Center, I started my activity in 89… The midwife has her function, in addition to what we do, we also support the woman psychologically. This year, the Day of the Midwives overlapped with the Resurrection of the Lord and I want to congratulate all the midwives in our collective and even from the whole Republic of Moldova. I congratulate everyone on the Resurrection of the Lord, happy Easter!”.
Boris Galațan, obstetrician-gynecologist, “A.Prisacari” Soroca District Hospital: “On the occasion of this celebration, I want to congratulate all the midwives, to specify and make known the great importance of this profession, which is a noble one. I want to make known the dedication of midwives in childbirth. You have to have quality and show good effort, empathy and as much patience as possible. I thank them for the work they do, because it is very difficult, stressful, but also beautiful…”.
