AUR will not have a candidate for the position of president of the Suceava County Council, the Suceava Court of Appeal decided definitively

Neculai Miron, AUR representative, will not be registered in the June 9 elections for the position of president of the Suceava County Council.

The Suceava Court of Appeal rejected, on Saturday, the appeal filed by AUR and Neculai Miron, against Friday’s decision of the Suceava Court.

“Rejects, as unfounded, the appeal filed by the appellants, the Alliance Party for the Union of Romanians and Miron Neculai against the civil sentence no. 526 of May 3, 2024 of the Suceava Court, the respondent being the County Electoral Office No. 35 Suceava. Definitive,” the court minutes state.

The Suceava County Electoral Office rejected the registration of Neculai Miron’s candidacy for the position of president of the Suceava County Council on the grounds that he was registered as a candidate of the AUR for the position of mayor of Bosanci commune.

The decision of the BEJ Suceava was challenged at the Suceava Court, which rejected the appeal, and then the Suceava Court of Appeal upheld the decision of the Court.
