The Minister of Family, Youth and Equal Opportunities, Natalia-Elena Intotero states on the occasion of the National Youth Day that today, we celebrate the energy and creativity of our young people.

“I firmly believe that young people represent the future of Romania, and all our efforts and hopes for the better must be dedicated to them.

Dear young people, on National Youth Day, I want, first of all, to congratulate you for civility and solidarity, and your success translates into respect for Romania .

The first thing I notice when working with young people is the strong motivation to come up with simple and innovative solutions to the problems we all face, whether in society or administration, at work or in various life situations. The Fărăbariere campaign proved this to me. Young people help young people. You deserve all my appreciation and support because you are the ones who can bring about change.

This year we have over 15,000 places in camps – 6,000 places in camps for students, 4,000 places for young people with disabilities, Olympians, young people from single-parent families and from disadvantaged backgrounds, orphans aged between 14 and 18, in which the main life skills are taught. Also, in partnership with the Department for Romanians Everywhere, with the support of the County Directorates of Youth and Sports and the Romanian Patriarchy, we are organizing this year the 15th edition of the Camp Program “ARC 2024” where children from Diaspora and historical communities.

The national competition for youth and student projects has just ended. The total budget for the year 2024 is 3,000,000 lei, allocated for the funding line for youth projects in the amount of 1,500,000 lei and for the funding line for student projects 1,500,000 lei. Maximum limit per project of 150,000 lei.

The Family Start and Student Invest loans, but also the IVF program – a program that we want to be unlocked and start as soon as possible – all of these support thousands of young people.

Also, during this period, the Ministry of Family, Youth and Equal Opportunities, in partnership with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, organizes the stages of file selection, interview and final debate for the selection of the two youth delegates within the Project”Youth Delegate to the United Nations”, the session 2024-2025.

The year 2024 for the municipality of Ploiești represents responsibility. Ploiesti – The Youth Capital of Romania 2024 is about young people, about projects, about young people’s needs and about building together for future generations”, says Intotero.
