I promised Pitesti a new stadium, a stadium that will last and carry on the name of Nicolae Dobrin! From today, this dream begins to build!
✅️ April 30, 2024 – The Government of Romania approved the memorandum regarding the financing of the stadium! We are starting construction!
✅️ 3 years of work become reality: projects, hundreds of documents, dozens of roads in Bucharest, legislative stages, demolition works, tenders, appeals, legal victories.
I had a bitter taste for a long time seeing how they hoped – with such joy! – certain people we will fail!
Troubled by their own frustrations, impotence or electoral calculations, they did not understand for a moment that only Pitesti is the one who wins from this project! And it will win for decades to come, above the administrations and people who run it!
✅️ All the attempts were worth it, however, because Pitestiul must remain proud!
Gone are all the worries, all the white nights and all the bitterness!
Dobrin’s name will live on in one of the most modern sports arenas in Romania, and I am proud of marking this success. A success of the whole city!
✅️ We will have the first stadium in Romania with zero energy consumption during matches, all thanks to photovoltaic panels and state-of-the-art heat pumps.
✅️ It will also be able to host Champions League or Europa League matches, having UEFA homologation level 4.
✅️ We are building a state-of-the-art sports complex, on 5 levels, with 15,200 seats. All stands of the future stadium in Pitesti will be covered.
✅️ This will have in its structure, recovery and training rooms, medical and anti-doping offices, strength room and two saunas.
✅️ The stadium parking will have around 500 places, of which 20 will be for electric cars only.
✅️ The Children and Junior Center of FC Argeș will also be arranged within the future sports complex.
