The six-year-old child from Gorj, crossed the border by a German citizen, will be repatriated on Monday, April 29, according to the Romanian authorities. He is already in the custody of the Romanian authorities and will be institutionalized in Romania. The Romanian authorities claim that the boy will be placed in the care of a maternal assistant, the one who already has his eight-year-old sister.
To bring the six-year-old child to Romania, a psychologist from DGASPC Gorj has already traveled to Munich to take the little one and accompany him back to the country. The president of the National Adoption Authority also traveled to Munich in order to repatriate the child and to resolve this case with the representatives of the diplomatic mission and the German authorities.
The case of the six-year-old child came to the attention of the Romanian Adoption Authority when the authorities in Germany were notified, who requested the Ministry of Justice to clarify the situation of a Romanian minor, after finding that he was in the care of a foreign citizen.
More precisely, the German citizen wanted to enroll him in school, at which point it was found that the adoption papers were missing.
In the country, the DIICOT prosecutors are conducting an investigation, and the other two siblings of the child taken to Germany, a two-and-a-half-year-old boy and an eight-year-old girl, were taken over by DGASPC Gorj and put in the care of foster carers.
