The Israeli Minister of National Security Itamar Ben Gvir was slightly injured in a road accident and was transported to the hospital on Friday, the police announced, stating that they are investigating the circumstances of the accident, reports AFP.

A video broadcast by the Israeli press captures the car the minister was in as it overturned.

The police announced in a statement that they are investigating the circumstances of a road accident in Ramla, involving two vehicles, including that of the Minister of National Security.

“Three people were slightly injured and evacuated” to a hospital, the police announced.

KNIFE ATTACK

Images broadcast by the Israeli press capture the moment when a black car, presented as belonging to the minister, flips over on its hood, near a white car whose hood was badly damaged.

A man, conscious, whose face is not visible, was lying on his back, surrounded by numerous police and rescuers and men in civilian clothes.

Police Commissioner Kobi Shabtai told the media that two other people were injured in the accident.

Itamar Ben Gvir was leaving the city of Ramla, located near Tel Aviv, where the police announced that an attack with a white weapon had taken place a little earlier.

The head of the Central District Police, Avi Biton, announced that a 21-year-old man, apparently mentally unstable, stabbed an 18-year-old woman.

He announced that the suspect tried to run away from the scene, and a civilian shot and “neutralized” him, without giving any other explanations.

The Israeli Ambulance Service announced that the woman was conscious but in serious condition and was taken to hospital for treatment.
