What AUR Gorj says after the BECJ’s decision to reject the protocol establishing the “AUR” electoral alliance – TV SUD

Wednesday, 24.04 ac, COUNTY CIRCUMSCRIPTIO ELECTORAL OFFICE NO. 20 GORJ issued DECISION NO. 1 of the rejection of the protocol establishing the “AUR” electoral alliance. According to this decision, the protocol of the electoral alliance subject to analysis for registration is not countersigned by the managements of the organizations targeted by the respective electoral alliance and in the analyzed form does not meet the specified form conditions.

Today, AUR Gorj sent a press release, signed by us but assumed by the interim president Ionelia Florenta Priescu, which shows that:

“In order to eliminate the confusion created and for the correct information of the electorate, the county organization of the Party Alliance for the Union of Romanians, through the voice of the interim president Lonelia Priescu, makes some necessary clarifications.

The decision of BEJ Gorj dated 22.04.2024 does not concern the existence and electoral rights of the local organizations of the Alliance Party for the Union of Romanians Gorj and the Republican Party. The rejection of the protocol for establishing an electoral alliance between the two distinct parties does not affect the electoral course of these two independent formations and does not lead to their elimination from the electoral race, as the political opponents erroneously claim through some publications and home television. The establishment of an electoral alliance at the county level would have given the possibility to well-prepared people to run for the good of the citizens, benefiting from the support of the AUR party.

The candidates of the Alliance Party for the Union of Romanians successfully continue the activity of submitting candidacy files to the constituency electoral offices and are determined to overcome all the obstacles generated by the appointment to the management of some local constituency electoral offices of civil servants subordinate to the incumbent mayors, a totally discriminatory aspect , devoid of logic and morality. Through the prism of this fact and following the decision of BEJ Gorj, we can conclude the fact that the confusing electoral legislation, the excessive bureaucracy, as well as the interpretable rules established by the toxic ruling coalition have the sole purpose of harassing, limiting the visibility and eliminating political formations from the electoral race from the opposition and independent candidates.
