Serious accident in Tulcea. Seven people were injured following an accident on Thursday at the exit from the Tulcea municipality to the Agighiol township between a minibus and an all-terrain vehicle.

“Road accident between a minibus and an all-terrain vehicle in which nine people were involved. Until now, 7 people are receiving medical assistance and will be transported to the hospital – the driver of the all-terrain vehicle, the driver of the minibus and 5 passengers from the minibus”, informs ISU Tulcea, according to Agerpres.

The accident happened at the exit from the municipality of Tulcea towards the town of Agighiol.

“This afternoon, in the dispatching office of the Delta Emergency Situations Inspectorate of Tulcea county, a call was received to the single emergency number 112 announcing a road accident between a minibus and a car with several people involved. Several medical crews of the Tulcea County Ambulance Service were sent to the scene, and from the Tulcea Fire Department an extrication crew, a firefighting crew and an SMURD first aid crew”, the quoted source says.

The rescue teams arrived at the scene of the event and found several victims in the minibus who self-evacuated.

According to the quoted source, the driver of the minibus, aged 65, remained incarcerated, proceeding to his release and extraction from the vehicle. From the car, a 70-year-old woman, driver, was taken over by the medical crews of SAJ Tulcea.

9 people were involved in the road accident, of which 7 were injured. The latter were transported to the emergency reception unit for evaluation and specialized medical care.
