Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban welcomed Chinese President Xi Jinping at Budapest’s Ferenc Liszt International Airport, according to Reuters.
This is the third stop from the first European tour of the Chinese leader for the past five years.
Specialists say that Hungary and China could sign between 16 and 18 cooperation agreements during the visit. Hungary is a big supporter of China’s Belt and Road infrastructure project.
In addition to the infrastructure projects, an important point on the discussion agenda will be the war in Ukraine.
