The national currency increases on Thursday, in relation to the euro, as well as to the US dollar, according to the BNR exchange rate. According to the last meeting, from Thursday, April 25, 2024, the BNR announced that the euro was quoted at 4.9763 lei, an increase of 0.0002 units compared to the exchange rate on Wednesday.
However, the Romanian leu gained almost two cents against the US dollar, so the US dollar ended up being quoted at 4.6386 Romanian lei, the lowest level recorded since April 11, 2024 and until now.

The exchange rates of the foreign exchange market are calculated by the National Bank of Romania based on the quotations practiced by the banking companies authorized to carry out operations on the foreign exchange market.
