The Storm have shot out to an early lead over the Rabbitohs at AAMI Park after a red-hot start from their key players.

A Jahrome Hughes chip kick set up Ryan Papenhuyzen for the first try of the game and they backed it up three minutes later through Xavier Coates, who crossed off a Cameron Munster kick.

The Rabbitohs were left reeling — but have pulled it together to hit back with a try of their own as star five-eighth set up Jacob Gagai in the left corner.
