Samsung has started rolling out the update to One UI 6.1, which includes the Galaxy AI features introduced in January. However, it hasn’t even been 24 hours and it looks like the update has already stopped rolling out. Although yesterday’s update included many more devices, the outage appears to be specific to the Galaxy S22 series only.

The reason for the interruption, as usual in such cases, is related to a bug. The identified issue affects the lock screen and touchscreen functionality after the update.

The issue has also been seen on the Galaxy S21 series

The bug has not been identified on the Galaxy Z Fold4 and Galaxy Z Flip4 devices, at least for now, so the rollout of the update continues for those models. The problem has also been seen on the Galaxy S21 series, but it seems to be more isolated to those devices, so distribution has not yet been stopped for them, writes GSM Arena.

The good news, if you can call it that in such a scenario, is that the distribution of One UI 6.1 for the Galaxy S22 only started in Korea before the bug was discovered, which means that other markets are assumed not to experience this issue.
