A part of the 23 August street in the city of Slanic Prahova collapsed right in front of the Police headquarters, the local press reports. Mayor Costea Danelus

Mayor Costea Danelus declared that he verbally notified ISU Prahova and the Prefect’s Institution.

The residents of the affected area are scared by the magnitude of the surprise, and some of them also talk about the fact that the water from Baia Baciului and Baia Rosie would have literally entered the ground, writes Prahova Info.

“For now, in the current situation, we could not take measures, because we have no way of knowing what is underneath. We’ll see what the experts say. We have to take into account that salt has been mined in Slanic for 2000 years, and we only know what happened in the last 200 years. We still don’t know if we have to relocate families from the affected area. Regarding the water in Baia Baciului, the water has decreased over time, and we are monitoring the phenomenon”, declared the mayor Costea Danelus.

The prefect of Prahova county, Emil Draganescu, sent representatives of the Inspectorate for Emergency Situations Prahova to the spot, who will go to Slanic, to order the necessary measures.
