A resort town in Tuscany has become highly sought after

Regarding tourism in Italy, it must be said that not only Venice, Rome, or Florence are the most popular destinations in “Cizma”.

There are many places, which we may not know about, that are worth visiting.

Punta Ala is a resort town located in Tuscany. It is located between Castiglione della Pescaya and Follonica. This resort enjoys great popularity worldwide, but most who come here are visitors from Milan and Italians who cannot afford vacations in more expensive places, according to Explore.com.

Here you’ll find a gorgeous pine forest that borders Punta Ala’s incredible beaches, as well as a 16th-century castle.

In addition, you can admire the famous harbor where impressive boats and yachts dock. Here’s everything you need to know before visiting Punta Ala.

The pine forest and the beaches

Punta Ala has everything you need for a relaxing beach vacation. Pine trees perfume the air, adding a special charm to the small town. You can visit the beach, north of Punta Hidalgo, where the sand is very fine and the water crystal clear.

Private beach clubs, stylish cafes, restaurants and beach umbrellas line the shore.

Despite the natural beauty, the day begins for many not on the beach, but at La Pasticceria Siciliana – a famous patisserie on the ground floor of a drab 1960s apartment block.

The espresso here has no equal, and the pastries – cannoli filled with ricotta – are what attract tourists who come here year after year.
