EXCLUSIVE. PNL directive for all heads of counties: Request the rejection of the AUR Alliance at the Electoral Offices! / What they discovered

Lucian Bode, the general secretary of the PNL, sent, on Wednesday, a circular in the territory to all the heads of organizations. He asks them to submit to the county electoral offices to reject the AUR Alliance for the local elections. The argument is that AUR does not meet “a substantive, determining condition”

“The AUR Electoral Alliance does not meet the formal conditions to be registered, i.e. it does not meet the identification condition stipulated by Article 6 of GEO 21/2024 which stipulates the mandatory electoral sign for all parties or alliances that participate in the elections”, the document sent states by the PNL General Secretariat to the heads of organizations and obtained by HotNews.ro.

A model form was also sent attached to the circular. It is the form through which the liberals in the counties request the constituency electoral offices to reject the AUR Alliance for the non-existence of the electoral sign.

The mentioned Article 6 provides that the electoral signs are established and communicated to the BEC by each party or political/electoral alliance at least 60 days before the date of the elections.

The Liberals claim that AUR did not register any electoral sign, and the registration period ended on April 10.

“This fact makes it impossible to register the local electoral alliance protocol, because it violates the legal obligation regarding the establishment and communication by each party or electoral alliance of the sign within the legal term. In the context of the non-existence of the electoral sign, there can be no electoral alliance”, claims the General Secretariat of the PNL.

What to write

The central leadership teaches the branch leaders to write in the requests to the Electoral Offices that “the principle of legality of the establishment of the AUR electoral alliance was violated”, and as a consequence the establishment protocol for the AUR Alliance must be rejected.

“The invoked aspect is a substantive condition, determining for the existence of an electoral alliance. The situation is all the more illegal as the protocol refers to a non-existent electoral sign from a legal point of view. We request the rejection of the registration of the AUR Alliance (the AUR Party and the Republican Party) for the non-existence of the electoral sign”, is the text that must be sent to the electoral offices by the PNL leaders in the counties.

The document sent to the territory was confirmed by several leaders of organizations who received it on Wednesday.
