A serious road accident took place on the roads of Slovakia. A 34-year-old man died on the spot, after he drove his car in the opposite direction and collided head-on with a TIR registered in Argeş.
According to observatornews.ro, the tragedy took place on Monday morning, around 10 o’clock, between the towns of Ružomberok and Donovaly.
Following the impact between the two vehicles, the young man’s car was stuck under the truck. Unfortunately, the driver of the car had no chance of survival.
Firefighters, medical crews, and police officers intervened on the scene.
According to the cited source, the Romanian driver, who was transporting auto parts, reported that the car suddenly appeared on the opposite side, although it was on a straight section of the road. The Romanian claims that he tried to avoid the impact, but failed.
The truck driver was tested with the breathalyzer, the result being negative.
The precise circumstances of the tragic accident are to be determined by the investigation.
