A man who intentionally caused an accident resulting in three victims, sent to court for attempted murder

A man from Timiș County, who intentionally caused a road accident resulting in three victims, was sent to court for attempted murder.

According to a statement sent on Tuesday by the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Timiş Court, the incident took place on January 24, 2022.

“On the background of contradictory discussions with his father and with the declared intention to commit suicide, the defendant, while driving a car at excessive speed and in violation of the legal rules regarding overtaking other vehicles on DN6, from the direction of Caransebeş towards Timişoara, at the entrance in the roundabout on the A6 highway (where the speed is limited to 30 km/h and the directions are separated by a continuous double line), he collided with the rear of another car, which was moving in the same direction and in where the injured persons were”, the statement states, according to Agerpres.

As a result of the impact, the car in which the victims were was projected over the square of the roundabout and rolled in the air, after which, falling, it hit the dividing metal railing located on the side of the road and stopped in a concrete channel. Also, one of the people in the car fell out of it.

“Following the road accident, the injured persons suffered bodily injuries that required 40 days of medical care for healing, 30 days of medical care, respectively 110 days of medical care and the life of the injured person who was in danger fell from the car”, it is also mentioned in the press release.

After the completion of the indictment, the file was sent for resolution to the Timiş Court.
