The entire moment when an elderly man was run over by a truck was captured by a surveillance camera in the area. The man met his end on a road in Drobeta Turnu Severin while trying to cross the street.

A tragic traffic accident happened on a road in Drobeta-Turnu Severin. A truck driver who left the traffic light did not notice a man crossing the street and ran over him. As soon as he realized what had happened, the driver stopped and tried to help the victim.

The medical personnel who arrived at the scene tried to give first aid to the 86-year-old man who was later transported to the hospital, where he died.

The moment of the accident was captured by a surveillance camera. In the images, you can see how the elderly man, who walks quite hard, ends up in front of the truck just as the truck starts from the traffic light. In this case, the authorities opened a criminal case for manslaughter.

Terrible scenes on a road in Mureș. A woman died

A woman lost her life in a traffic accident on a road in Mureș, after her husband, without taking care, overtook and hit another car that was driving normally.

The impact was violent, and the car in which the two husbands were was overturned in a ditch. The woman was thrown from the vehicle. Following the tragic event, a SMURD helicopter arrived at the scene but, unfortunately, nothing could be done for the victim.

“At the scene, operative crews from the Sighisoara Detachment intervene with a special fire truck and an SMURD ambulance, a crew from the Mureș County Ambulance Service, as well as the SMURD helicopter”, declared, at that time, Lt. Alexandra Călușeri, spokesperson for the “Horea” Emergency Situations Inspectorate of Mureș county.
