The non-governmental organization “Committee of Russian Officers”, which is critical of the Kremlin and President Vladimir Putin, has presented its candidate for the presidential elections to be held in the Russian Federation in 2024.

He is Navy Captain Ivan Otrakovski, introduced to the press by his comrades.

Former GRU (military intelligence service) colonel Vladimir Kvacikov spoke at the organization’s meeting. He stated that if elections are held next year, Ivan Otrakovsky will be nominated as a candidate for the presidency of Russia.

For his part, the newly appointed candidate stated that, going to the presidency of Russia, he understands all the responsibilities and risks, therefore he firmly promised the Russian citizens “not to back down”.

“I understand all the responsibility and all the risks. I say firmly and confidently that I will not back down. That I will not allow any understanding behind the backs of my comrades. Everything will be clear, crisp and direct,” declared Otrakovski pathetically.

The representative of the Russian Navy claims that the current government of the Russian Federation is “anti-people”. According to him, Russian officials and businessmen, taking advantage of the situation, are making money at the expense of the population and the army.

“Now the question of power arises. Why? Because the power in the country is anti-people. Officials and oligarchs have thrown us down our throats and are drinking the blood of both the army and the people,” the officer is convinced.

According to the candidate, in Russia the people and the army should unite in a single political impulse, come to power and solve the problem of forming a just social state.

Russian media note that the opposition organization probably has high hopes for Otrakovsky, considering him a patriotic military man. However, the ultrapatriots and followers of the “Russian world” in the “People’s Union for the Revival of Russia” (ZSVR) believe otherwise.

Former intelligence officer Igor Strelkov (Ghirkin), who repeatedly invited Colonel Kvachkov to his vlogs, spoke out against candidate Otrakovsky. According to Ghirkin, this candidacy is not suitable.
