A legendary phone, the Nokia 3210, returns 25 years after its launch, when “dumbphones” become more and more popular

And now, 25 years after the launch of the original, the legendary Nokia 3210 returns and is available in colors reminiscent of those days: “Scuba Blue”, “Grunge Black” and “Y2K Gold”. The phone is created by European innovators Human Mobile Devices (HMD), makers of Nokia phones.
“Dumbphones” (phones with buttons and basic functions) are starting to become popular again as people look to return to the simplicity of yesteryear. In 2023, sales of the Nokia 2660 Flip flip model doubled, and those at HMD expect a sustained increase in classic phone sales in 2024.
These devices are a solution to digital detox in a world where almost four in ten 16-24 year olds (38%) are concerned they are spending too much time on smartphones .
