According to recent information provided by Digital Chat Station, the first device equipped with Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor is scheduled to launch in mid-October.

If previous reports about Xiaomi exclusivity for this launch are correct, it means that the Xiaomi 15 (and possibly the Xiaomi 15 Pro) could become official around the same time.

Although we are still far from this moment and a lot can change until then, it is important to note that the Xiaomi 14 was announced on October 26 last year. Thus, a release in mid-October this year would only mean a presentation about one or two weeks earlier than in 2023, which does not seem improbable at all, GSM Arena writes.

What features does the device come with?

The initial launch of the Xiaomi 15 is expected to be exclusively for the Chinese market, as has been the case for the company’s flagships in recent years. The Xiaomi 14 only made its international debut in February this year at the Mobile World Congress (MWC).

According to Digital Chat Station, the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset would achieve a score of around 2,700 for a single core and a score of around 10,000 for multiple cores in the Geekbench tests. The CPU is said to include two extra large cores with a clock frequency between 3.6 and 4 GHz. The leaker suggests that we should expect significant theoretical improvements for both the CPU and GPU.
