Dinamo plays its last card on Sunday to avoid relegation to the second league. The “Dogs” will face UTA Arad in the last stage of the play-out and they need a win. A possible success, combined with results in their favor in at least two of the other four bottom-of-the-table finals, can keep the “dogs” in the Super League.
In this context, it is still unclear whether Zeljko Kopic will continue as A1 of the “dogs”. Thus, a long list of options opens up for Nicolescu & Co. Questioned by GSP about the possibility of getting involved with Dinamo in the near future, Ionuț Chirilă argued in several points why it is the optimal option for Dinamo.

“Regardless of whether they are saved from relegation or not, a rebuild must be done from scratch! If I were offered to come and train at Dinamo, I would accept, even if they relegate to the 2nd League. First of all, I like things with a high degree of difficulty. Secondly, Dinamo is my home. That’s where I was born, grew up and perfected myself professionally”, said Ionuț Chirilă.
“At Dinamo, we built the strongest generation of Romanian football. Tararache’s $2.4 million transfer to Grasshoppers Zurich saved the club from bankruptcy during the darkest period of its existence.
If I had been allowed to continue my work at Dinamo, today the club would have been far away. It would have been a stable club from a footballing and financial point of view”, he added, referring to the period in which he coached in Ștefan cel Mare.
“At the moment, the club is managed by some morally clean people. They want to build a professional club with sound principles and solid foundations. Unfortunately, due to a certain lack of football culture, they were sent down some false tracks by some people. Unfortunately, they lost two years in this way”, said the technician.

Chirilă also emphasized the importance of his experience as a technician: “I have passed through all stages of this profession with success, building teams and players worth tens of millions of euros, who represented Romania at the highest level. I have reached the maturity to manage the technical management of a club of Dinamo’s scope”.
