The five matches in 16 days were crowned by the Galatasaray team with a victory, in front of a difficult play-out opponent
The expression “matches every three days” was the reality of the last weeks at Oțelul, during which the situation was brilliantly managed. After qualifying for the “Cup Romania Cup” final, a good game in general, but also getting rid of the worries of relegation very early, here is that Dorinel Munteanu’s team managed to maintain a good pace and end the fifth official match in 16 days with a victory.
The mission was not easy at all, especially in the second part of the match, after Teles (min. 56) was eliminated. The Portuguese came on during the first half, replacing Zivulici (min. 38).
The only goal of the match against FC Hermannstadt was scored by the defender Francois Yabre (min. 3), who was on his first success at the level of the first league.
All in all, it was another good game from the Steel, where they proved once again that they can cope brilliantly in difficult situations. With this success, the people of Galaţi distance themselves to four points from the University of Cluj, the main opponent in the fight for a Conference League play-off spot (opportunity valid only if the “Romanian Cup” is not won).
Bodisteanu, as Cisotti
As the Italian Cisotti was absent due to the accumulation of yellow cards, his role on the field was taken over by Ștefan Bodisteanu – the footballer brought on loan from Farul, used to playing on the left wing. His good and growing development was rewarded with the decisive pass to open the scoring (min. 3).
Dorinel Munteanu sent the following formula to the field: Pap – Jelev, Yabre, Cisotti, Silva – Bodișteanu, Zivulici, Lameira – Maciel, Pop, Malle. They also entered: Teles, Adăscăliței, Tănasă, Panait and Neagu.
After Florii, there is also an Easter match
The next stage finds Oțelul with an appointment on the first day of Easter, away to Ploiesti, with Petrolul (3:30 p.m.), in the penultimate round of the play-out phase. Until the end, Oțelul will still have to play the championship match with FC Botoșani (in Galați, on May 12) and the Cup final (in Sibiu, on May 15), with Corvinul.
